We are a Husband & Wife duo Inspired by a single event. The catalyst for this venture came in the form of our honeymoon in 2011. Leaving the construct and usual surroundings of our daily life, gave us a new sense of passion and appreciation for travel. The experiences abroad brought the world within reach and the international exposure accelerated our craving for culture.
That one vacation, started a chain of events that really got the creative juices flowing. As parents, we used this new found ambition to help influence our children and expose them to the same elements & experiences that enlightened us. It's safe to say that travel has changed our lives forever. The impact left an impression on our soul and cracked a doorway open to a new lifestyle.
Focus changed from hobbies and entertainment to planning and researching. Forging a balance between duties and goals, we were able to overcome the adversity of politics and dehumanization in order to keep living our lives the way we wanted to- The way we now needed to. Thus, beginning a journey that never ends.
The trials we speak of, are little different than that of any other human. Death, loss, criticism, and accountability are part of most, if not all our lives. Among others, these are just a few examples of the regular dealings while existing on this rock. The insight gained from adventure is what keeps us looking ahead. Perseverance is no easy task and at times, we pumped the brakes on future plans.
This has been a very crucial training in the mindset. After a long, horrifyingly painful & life altering new chain of events, We were again faced with more adversity than either of us ever imagined. Now, permanently handicapped & disabled since 2019, seeking and scheduling an itinerary is evermore challenging. The strength of our passion, love, and unity has helped quantify our ability to press on.
The learning curve has distanced us from a lot of what we knew, but we gained a new skill set in turn. Difficult to adjust? Absolutely! Valiantly starting over rarely doesn't leave a mess, nor is it an attractive option. But having the people and places that make you happy, are all that matter. For us, they are all over the world.
So where do we go from here? We influence others to do the same. No, we're not saying you need to lose limbs to gain insight or turn your back on everything you like to do, but live the experience of life. Trade an old habit for a new hobby. People say, "Gee, that must be nice." It is! A new drug, perhaps. Our goal is to help others achieve that kind of high. To each their own if travel doesn't interest you.
Now that the road ahead becomes clearer, we want to help others interested in our stories, write their own. By wearing our mistakes and experiences on our sleeve, hopefully we can save you some grief and frustration. Find out what made us love it or hate it, learn the process of the unknown and how to remove some of the unwanted mystery, when you need answers.
The big one here is traversing the world while disabled. Hell bent on not stopping, We're going pay close attention to what method and how, Who and where takes accessibility to the next level, or falls short. Join us for a new first, a continuing journey, advice on getting lost, and finding your way back. We are eyes, ears, voices, and advocates. Now and forever.
